Cabin "camping" with Grandma and Grandpa...

I can't believe I forgot to post these photos! Earlier this month Logan and I ventered down to Coldwater, MI to a cabin my parents had rented for a week. Nathan couldn't get off work so it was just momma and baby! We had a great time! It was also my parents' church camping weekend. (The church I grew up in.) So it was a great time to see old friends and spend time with them. The cabin my parents rented was super cute and we really enjoyed our time with them. I hope you enjoy the photos.

There were some other kids there and Logan found this walker toy and must have walked a mile all over the place with it. He doesn't even need the walker, but he LOVES pushing it around.

This was our make shift high chair for the cabin. It worked really well! HA! This was after lunch of course!

Logan was loving walking all over the place and looking out at the water. He was such a sweet boy all weekend.

Have fun walking the dock with Grandpa. It ended up being a little chilly while we were there. Glad I remembered a sweatshirt, but I forgot socks. OOPS!

He ended up loving this stump for a bit. As you can see - poor baby in bare feet! But Grandma came to the rescue with socks she picked up while she was out getting something to make for dinner! Such a wonderful Grandma!

Logan enjoyed playing in their chair!

But Grandpa had to convince him that sitting was the better option rather than standing.

Logan took a break to sit on his stump. What a cutie pie!

Playing peek-a-boo with Grandma. Logan loves to pull our hands away from our faces and then pushes them back to play again. Very cute!

Relaxing on the back porch getting ready for bed while mommy got his bottle ready. Snug as a bug in a rug!

What an angel face!

Dancing up a storm!

We were noticing tonight that Logan was seemingly dancing to his musical toy. So we put the old school hip hop station on the tv and Logan started just BUSTING a move! He was really having a good time with it too! Kept at for quite a long time all evening. Cracked us up over and over. Logan really seemed to love it as well! :-)

I'm to cute for my clothes...

I couldn't write "I'm to SEXY..." because really that is just not something you write about your baby. Just a little bit ago after dinner Logan need a major diaper change (he sure does know how to stink up the house!) and he didn't sit still long enough to get his clothes put back on! This is what we get to play with the rest of the night. hehe

"Bubbles!"

Tonight during bath time Logan showed off a new word he learned! Coincidentally one of his teachers at daycare said that she thought he said "bubble" at daycare today during bubble play. Then tonight when Nathan was giving him a bath he said it over and over and over again. So stinkin cute! I just love this child too much for words!

Visiting a new baby!

On Sunday we made the two hour drive to Kalamazoo to meet my best friends new baby boy! I was so excited. I haven't seen my friend Leah since Logan was a month old. We have decided that our schedule is way too full these days.

ANYWAY - baby Camden was born on the 4th of July and is a beautiful little boy. Looks a lot like his big brother Dominick!

Logan slept the entire way too and from (we traveled during nap times) so his naps were way longer than normal - 4 hours total as opposed to 2-2 1/2 hours he normally does. He still went to bed at his normal time and slept great so it worked out perfect! (I had a lot of hesitation with having him in the car for 4 hours in one day and almost didn't take him, but I'm glad I did as now I feel more confident with doing it again!)

It was so great to see Leah and her family and new baby. Dominick (three years old) and Logan played well together so that was fun to watch. Here are some photos:

Such a climber!

Logan has discovered climbing... I shouldn't really say discovered because honestly he has been doing it a while. BUT - climbing the stairs and climbing onto the couch are his two newest favorites!

The other day Nathan and I were watching TV and Logan was running around playing with us, playing with toys - just doing his thing. A few minutes later we hear laughter. Look around... WHERE IS LOGAN?! OH - he is at the TOP of the stairs. Yes - the TOP! All I hear is Nathan say, "Oh Dear Lord!" and bound up the stairs. Of course Logan comes down in daddy's arms smiling and clapping - so stinkin proud of himself. Proud for giving mommy and daddy heart attacks and making them feel like horrid parents for not having blocked that off yet?!? CHECK! Well done son!

So we figured - might as well let him learn - but WITH OUR SUPERVISION of course!

That is the second video below.

The first video is Logan using Nathan as a stepping stool. Something he does quite a bit to both of us (or frankly anyone he can get a hold of.) He will stand on your feet, legs, back, side, head (mommy thinks it is REALLY funny when he uses Daddy's head for a step stool... why else would daddy be laying on the floor, right?)

As you will see Logan gets very excited and is very very proud of himself and all he does. I know he is my child, but I swear he is one of the smiliest, happiest babies I've ever seen!

Big Boy Bed?!

Okay - not a REAL big boy bed, but at daycare Logan has moved from the baby cribs to the toddler cot! His daycare teachers had been bugging me to sign the waiver (they typically start it no matter what at a year) so he could start it now, but I kept resisting. Finally today I gave in! I had no good reason not to sign it other than I was being stubborn and want to keep a few of his baby-isms that are left. Trust me - there aren't many!

Bobbie - his primary teacher sent me the following pictures this morning:

My response back to here was, "Clearly he hates it! :-)" Okay - so maybe mommy doesn't ALWAYS know best! We'll see how long of a nap he took. He usually doesn't nap a lot while at daycare - too many fun things (noises) to play with and do! Bobbie said he laid right down and went to sleep with no problem. Looks like I'll be running out tonight to buy him a blanket he can use on his daycare cot.

I must admit - he is so stinkin cute!!

Hapy 4th of July!

I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend! We had such a great weekend. Even though I had to work on Friday and didn't have the nice three day weekend the weekend SEEMED to go by nice and slowly and felt like a nice extra long weekend!

Friday night we headed out to Nathan's family's house where his sister and her family were over and had such a lovely time with everyone. We were celebrating my in-law's birthdays which were both last week. We had a nice time. Here are some cute photos from Friday night and Saturday morning of Logan and our nephew Liam (he is 3 months now).

This picture is actually from Friday afternoon - but man - LOVE his little eyes in this.

Logan was nawing on this cob of corn - he was dragging it along his tooth and loving every second of it!

Our newphew Liam - such a cutie!

Logan was rocking out in his patriot boxer briefs! What a cute little dude!
On Saturday morning we went over to my parents' home for the annual 4th of July party! Such a great time! My cousin Raelynn and her husband, Mike and baby Dane came up to visit. So excited! Rae and I were due about the same time last year and had a great baby shower together and it has been fun seeing pictures of her little man, but was even better to see them all in person. He is just the cutest thing!

We have a wonderful chicken dinner that my dad cooks over a big charcoal pit - SO SO yummy. It was a very nice and relaxing day.
My dad with his granddaughter Piper, grandson Tommy and my cousin's kids Paige and Ty. They LOVED riding around in his tractor!

One of the family games we play on the 4th of July is an egg toss game. It is a great time! Throwing eggs across the lawn and waiting to see who it will break on! HA! Tommy got in on the fun of it all this year!

Cousin Raelynn, Dane, Me and Logan - I have pictures of us at our baby shower with our big bellies and also from last October when the boys got to meet for the first time (and she and I went to the New Kids on the Block concert! HA!)

"Grandpa - want to toss an egg at me?"

Logan running off with a soccer ball! So cute!

The three babies in the baby jail!
On Sunday we did work around the house after church. Nathan put up a ceiling fan in our bedroom (YAY!) and I did some weeding outside and finished the invites for Logan's 1st birthday party! EEK! Can't believe it is so soon! Nathan also put up a clothes line in the backyard, but I don't think it is going to work. We have to do some re-engineering I think.

Our finished deck - or at least phase one finished. We are going to put some flower boxes on the front and also a step down. Need to do more landscaping, but we are getting a lot of great use out of it.

Logan LOVES his daddy throwing him around and high in the air! Giggles are constant!

Logan would start walking over to me only to quickly turn around and run back to Nathan for another game of flying! He was having a great time! So were we!

I love how when running around the back yard Logan still manages to know where the camera is and smile! HA!
It was a great weekend! Hope you enjoyed the photos!

Finally a picture of the tooth!

After much convincing and some open mouth giggles I managed to get a picture of the illusive tooth! Checking for teeth is quite a chore with him these days. He doesn't like to have you stick your finger in his mouth. Must have been from the 800 hundred tooth checks I've been doing since he was like 6 months old... just maybe.

And of course - the second bottom one finally came all the way through yesterday (this picture is from Friday). It peeked through the day after the tooth in the picture, but quickly stalled.

Please ignore the messy food face. For some reason food on a person's face totally grosses me out. Even with Logan... I guess it is one of my many wierd things... oh well! Oh and the messy food shirt (Daddy forgot to put his bib on... oh well what's another shirt to wash, right?)

Pictures from the weekend coming this afternoon!
