Potty Training Day Two

Sunday was day two of potty training boy wonder. It went pretty great. Here are thes stats:
3 pairs of underware
1 accident - while we was in time out
5 successful pottys on the toilet
0 poops
Woke up dry from his nap (was in a pull up)
Stayed dry while outside playing in the snow (was in a pull up)

All in all it was a great day! He tried a few other times too so it was great. It seems that us asking him over... and over... and over again if he has to go potty doesn't do much for him. He always says no. From what happened yesterday - it seems he will tell us when he has to go potty and that is that. The first two potty trips yesterday he started to go in his undies and then quickly stopped, told us he had to go and then finished on the toilet. Only a few drops of pee in his underware. I'll take that.

I think nathan and I decided that when he is home - it is underware or nothing. He is with my mom today while we are at work so hopefully he does well for her. I need to call daycare and talk to them about how to go about stuff on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. I'm really proud of him. My expectation is that today will go even better than yesterday. I am hoping for another poop on the potty too! ha!

We took a break from house arrest yesterday to go outside and shovel the driveway. Then we headed into the backyard and Logan did some shoveling there too. We even found that the swing set is fun in the winter too! Logan (and Daddy) went flying down the slide and shot a good few feet off the end. It was pretty funny. (Not the greatest pictures as they were with my phone.) Hope you all had a great weekend!

Potty Training Day 1

Alright - so we are done with Potty Training Day 1. And by done I mean Logan is in the bath and will go in a diaper for bed time. I think overall it was a pretty great success! Here are the stats:

7 pairs of big boy underware
3 full accidents
3 partial accidents (a little pee in his undies and then either stops all together or finishes in the toilet)
1 poop in the potty (FIRST EVER!!!)
7 successful pees in the potty
1 spat between mommy and daddy about if and how we were going to do this potty training thing

I think all in all a very successful first day!!!!

Here is Logan sporting his literal tighty whities... he has all different colors/patterns - baseball themed.

The results of the potty chart at the end of the day: 7 stickers of successful peeing attempts and 1 poop on the potty!

I think we are in an underwear or bust phase... We'll use pull ups for nap time (he finds them acceptable to underwear since he steps into them like underwear) and diaper for bedtime. (Thankfully he didn't put up a fight tonight putting it on with pajamas.) We are staying home from church tomorrow to continue these efforts and my mom will continue on Monday. I'm going to check with daycare to make sure it is okay that we bring a bunch of undies and clothes for the three days he is there. I'm sure it will be.

I think tomorrow's numbers will improve on today's and I'm really looking forward to it!

Just hanging around...

Update - just so everyone knows - my blog is public again. It was a hassle for me and other folks who DO want to read my ramblings so I am opting for public again. Hopefully you will see my posts in your blog feeds once again! If you don't - let me know!

So when we needed to switch Logan to a big boy bed it was just before Christmas and I don't know about you, but our cash-only money system was a little dry during the holidays. We made it through and it was great, but we did call in some favors along the way. My rediculously generous parents bought us the twin sized mattress (which they had already planned on doing as part of Logan's birthday gift) and we borrowed a twin sized bed fram from Nathan's parents. It worked pretty good. We also borrowed a side rail that my parents had. It is an old school side rail type, but did its job. That is until I went in to check on him last night before I went to bed and found this....

Needless to say we will be getting him a proper side rail this weekend.

Public again...

The Little Wolfe Pack blog is public again... I was finding it frustrating and some of my readers are as well. So back to old school for now... good times.

Sick Day...

Logan is notorious for getting some killer head colds - he has since his first winter. Granted - this is only his third winter, but he sure does get some doozeys. (How do you even spell that?!)This latest one has been accompanied by a killer cough as well. He is a snot draining, coughin', sneezing mess! Sunday night he had a little fever, but that was gone by morning. The last two nights he has woken up multiple times and even came and wanted to lay with us the night before last.

Today he woke up at 5:30 and was inconsolable... we tried to put him back to bed, but he kept crying "please no bed... no want bed, please please." Broke my heart I tell ya! So we came downstairs and he asked for Buzz and Woody (aka - Toy Story 3) It is 9 am and we are half way through our second viewing.

I was able to run to my office and get my work stuff so I'll do some work from home throughout the day. Should be at least mildly productive.

Here is my view from the chair in the living room:

Pudding Buddha

On Friday night we had friends over for dinner and chatting and euchre and apples to apples. They were running a little late so Logan ate dinner before they arrived. Then while we were eating our super yummy dinner our friends we let Logan cuddle in the couch for a little Toy Story 3 action. It was getting close to bedtime which means bedtime snack. He asked for pudding and was quite the little messy eater! Nathan grabbed his camera for a couple shots of this pudding eating buddha!

So relaxing...

Doesn't everyone relax with their daddy this way?

Logan has been going through quite the clingy/separation anxiety phase of late. It thankfully is rather hit and miss, but if Nathan or I am around he is usually attached to us in some way. I would be lying if I said I didn't love the extra cuddle time. My little rough and tumble boy still has that completely loving side which makes me so so happy! He loves to lay on daddy in the most random ways - as you can see, but me he just sits on my lap and leans in and wraps his arms around me. It is pretty great.

The worst parts of this is his DETEST for the carseat or any restraint what-so-ever. I think after all the traveling during the holidays and the past couple weekends he is just done with it. We've decided that the rest of the weekends this month we are staying home all weekend (other than church) and just having some great family time. We may head out to do some fun stuff, but we'll see... I think there will be some ice skating in our near future! FUN!

Logan and Woody

On Christmas with my family Logan had his first taste of Toy Story - to say he loves it would be an understatement. Since then we have (thanks to Netflix) watched Toy Story 1 and 2. And have also watched three a couple times. He loves it! He has a Woody, Rex and Buzz Lightyear toy and loves them all, but it seems his favorite is Woody. Here he is in the car letting Woody ride the same way Andy does in the movies. Such a doll baby!

Christmas Timewarp...

Let's pretend it is the week after Christmas and I'm posting this for your viewing pleasure! ha! We had a great holiday with our families and it was so lovely and pretty relaxing! We spent a night at my parents house and had some great sledding with my brother's family. Logan adores his cousins and had so much fun out in the snow with them! (We have a repeat overnight and sledding party this Friday/Saturday! YAY!)

We had some time Christmas Eve afternoon at my aunt and uncle's house and celebrated with my extended family. Another lovely time. Christmas morning we were at our house and my parents came by for a bit which was a great time! We really had a sparsely decorated house this year as we had all our windows replaced on December 21st. It was actually pretty great - we threw up a Charlie Brown tree with some lights and a star two days before Christmas. We also managed to also include our stockings.

Christmas afternoon we headed out to Nathan's parents for an overnight there, some more sledding, more presents, more familiy time - great stuff!

Hope you all had a great Christmas as well! Enjoy the pictures below from our Christmas and sledding adventures!

Family night watching Toy Story 3!

Snow Shoveling

On Monday of this week and through the night we had a pretty constant stream of snow fall. It didn't amount to a crazy amount of snow - only 4ish inches I think. This morning Nathan headed out to quickly shovel the walk. Logan was very anxious to follow Daddy out and help. Grandma had bought him a mini snow shovel a few weeks ago and Logan went to work on the porch!

He loves doing chores and helping us out in any way he can. He also loves being outside so it is kind of a win win situation... I wonder how long this enjoyment of chores will last. ha!

Yummy Cookies!

Yesterday after dinner Logan and I decided to throw together some chocolate chip cookies. Of course this was at the prompting of Nathan as I think he really just wanted to eat some cookies! I find that it was much easier last time when I had everything pre measured and ready to pour, but Logan was a trooper and was very patient and helpful.

I had them all baked and the last batch came out while he and Daddy were doing bath time. Once he was all pajama-ed up he was able to enjoy some warm cookies and some chilly milk to dunk it in - just like his daddy.

Building with Logan

On New Years Eve Nathan ran to Lowes to pick up a couple things and was suckered into buying Logan a new real tool set. A real (mini) hammer, apron and safety goggles. He also picked up a little Build and Grow set goal post set. They had a great time putting it together - Logan made sure Daddy has his safety glasses too. They did a great job and had a ton of fun together. I'm shocked Nathan didn't run out and buy all the build and grow sets. I can't wait to see what their next project is!

Nathan set everything up and Logan did the hammering. Nathan was smart though and held the nails with needle nose pliers.

HIGH FIVE! Job well done!

Our little lefty - he tried hammering with his right hand at one point, but quickly switched back to his left hand.

"I DID IT!!!" (his catch phrase for almost any of his accomplishments.)

Stud Muffin with the safety glasses!

Trying with the right hand for a bit.

Telling Daddy to look at Momma's camera and smile.

"Touchdown!!" They were celebrating the accomplishment.

The finished project! I think they are both looking forward to the next one as am I. I love watching Logan and Nathan do fun things together.

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, we headed over to my Aunt and Uncle's house for brunch. It was awesome as always. Three of my cousins had never met Abby so it was a real treat. Here is Logan and cousin Dane - Logan is about one month older than him. They had a great time playing together.

Baby girl was enjoying her sweet hat from our friends Jenn and Blain. So cute! She was such a doll in her Christmas Eve attire. She fell asleep with Grandma and took a nice little nap on the chair in the family room.

Then it was time for some presents and this is how Abby spent her first Deller Christmas. Cuddled up with Daddy - one of her favorite places to be.

An attempt to get a picture of some of the great-grandchildren. Yup - that went well. Abby was NOT a fan and Dane was NOT a fan of her crying. lol We have Dane, Logan, Abby and Tia (Abby and Tia are 10 weeks apart) - almost 2 year old cousin Vaughn was taking a nap.

We headed back home for nap time and then made a quick trip to visit Great-Grandma and Grandpa Johnson. It was a nice quick visit and they were able to meet Abby for the first time. Abby was a sweetheart with Grandma and we do hope Grandma enjoyed meeting her.

We went to church at my in-laws' church. It was a nice evening, but were anxious to get home and be ready for Christmas morning! We made a quick stop to see Great Grandma and Grandpa Wolfe then headed home to sprinkle reindeer food and head to bed! Santa was coming!!
