Carseats are even cooler when they are indoors!

This weekend we had taken our carseat out to make room for riding around with my cousin and her husband. After our other cousin's wedding (more on that tomorrow maybe) we went straight to pick up Logan from my in-laws, but forgot our carseat so we borrowed my in-laws. Our extra one ended up in the living room this afternoon and Logan was having great fun! First he insisted he sit in it - then he insisted we buckle him in - then he insisted we feed him dinner in the seat.

In my opinion there are certain fights worth taking on... this one - not one of them! He played with the carseat from 5:30-7:00 and I think he spent a total of an hour in the carseat. Funny how the carseat can be SO cool when it is taken out of car and put in a new place! :-)

Mommy's little boy...

Do you think that just maybe my son sees me doing this a lot?

Nothing like doing a little texting on Mommy's phone while wearing her shoes after work. Then a few minutes later he started dragging my purse around the living room. haha!

We had a fantastic Thanksgiving weekend and I really am looking forward to posting all about our fun and festive weekend!

Christmas Photo Rejects!

There were TONS of great photos to choose from in our almost 100 photos we had to choose from. It certainly made narrowing them down hard. HOWEVER - there were definitely a lot of photos that were clear rejects! Sometimes I enjoy them as much as the great photos. Enjoy!

Christmas Came Early this year!

A quick post... Things have been crazy busy lately. My cousin is getting married this coming weekend and it should be a fantastic time! This past weekend we had a last minute bachelorette party for her - complete with a trip to the bar, comedy club and a pole and lap dancing class. All I have to say is OUCH! I am so dang sore from that class! Holy Moly! Anyway - was a great time. Just wasn't home to put together any fun little blog posts!

Sunday we met up with my brother's family for our Christmas pictures! YAY! I know it isn't even Thanksgiving yet, but I had to post these. I just love them! We were so pleased with how they turned out. You must check out Logan's pictures from last year as well. Obviously the boy is so much older, but it is just amazing! He is growing up and continuing to be such a handsome little guy. (The images are unedited so the ones we ended up getting were a bit more cropped and such.)

What a happy little boy!
My sister-in-law, Sarah said I had to get this one because it was a total mischievious face. Like, "Hi, don't you want to buy me a present?" haha!

What a handsome boy. We had some shots on a red background which is what I wanted originally since his outfit wasn't super colorful, but those didn't turn out so fantastic.

My brother's children, Tommy and Piper with Logan. It is one of the few pictures where Piper was smiling. She is such a doll though. I wish Logan had been smiling as well, but oh well. I'm just glad they all at least look happy!
Stay tuned for another post either later today or tomorrow... with the Christmas photo rejects! ha!

Logan LOVES to stack!

Logan has a great affection for stacking things. He also has a great love of balancing - himself and toys - on whatever he can find. This morning I came downstairs after Nathan let me sleep in a little while before church and he told me to check out the pictures he took before I got up. This is what I found:

Logan checking out the pantry to see what he wanted to pull out. As you can see the bottom two shelves are very empty because Logan tends to pull everything out on a daily basis. We keep meaning to put a lock of some sorts on it, but you know how it goes...

Time to stack... and what do we stack on?

The laundry detergent of course! Before it fell over Logan had it about as tall or taller than himself! Such a silly boy! I'm telling you - he is going to be an engineer some day... mark my words!

Then he saw Daddy with the camera and attacked. Check out that serious face... Must.Get.Camera.

What a wonderful weekend

We had a great weekend here in Southeast Michigan! The weather was fantastic and we have been able to get a lot done around the house. Logan was a feisty little man yesterday, but had some moments of utter cuteness! I'm not sure what his deal has been, but he isn't eating a ton and he has been really upset by the smallest of things. Hopefully this little funk will be done soon. I'm thinking it is a teeth thing. I thought he had two molars come through, but there is just one on top and then another front tooth. Now he has a total of 6 teeth! YAY! He is a slow teether, but they are darn cute. Enjoy the photos!

Logan has really been loving "playing" the piano whenever he can. The other night he insisted on wearing socks on his hands while he did it and then flipped around on Daddy's lap to play the piano with his feet! HA! Cracks me up. The socks on the hands thing is a big thing for him lately. He'll pull them off his feet and then hand them to us with outstretched hands. Funny little man.

At Toys R Us yesterday I bought Logan one of those collapsible tunnels. I set it up in the kitchen so he would be distracted while Nathan put together his new toy chest for the living room. He never did crawl through, but he would peek his head in and go "BOO!" at me.

Daddy tried to show Logan how it was done. Looks like the tunnel is the advertised 6 feet long! Logan thought it was pretty funny to see Daddy like a big worm in the back yard!

Stay tuned for a post tomorrow that shows off Logan's amazing stacking and construction abilities. HA!

Still alive...

We are still alive. I've just been stupidly sick the past few days.

Logan had a sleepover at his GrandmaNana and Grandpa Wolfe's house on Friday night while Mommy and Daddy had date night. It worked out well since I had to go to the ER early Saturday morning. I felt bad because we were supposed to celebrate Nathan's birthday that day with family over, but he cancelled it all. I have Crohn's Disease and have had no issues since well before I got pregnant with Logan. But Friday night I ate too much popcorn and BAM - FLARE UP! I must say though - I totally get drug addicts when I have flare ups. The ER gives the BEST pain meds. WOW! High quality - eyes rolling to the back of your head stuff! Add in a chest cold, sinus infection and my period and you got a GREAT TIME! yeah okay - Too Much Information... oh well. Most of you are girls... you get it.

We will be back to our regularly scheduled posting sometime soon.

Trouble with a Capital "L"

On Sunday we had a lazy day at home. I got to sleep in and Nathan dressed Logan for the day... out of pajamas and into new pajamas! haha I really enjoy this pair since they remind me of an old man with long underwear on. Cracks me up.

ANYWAY... as most of already know... a quiet toddler is likely a naughty toddler! Logan is most certainly one of the most curious children around. The monkey costume for Halloween was so appropriate. The kid is a CLIMBER! He stands and balances on anything he can. From his ride on toy... to his Leap Frog Drum... to his parents feet! It is pretty remarkable how much he can get into. Anyway... I digress...

Sunday afternoon I don't hear Logan so into the kitchen I go and this is what I see...

Just a little baby butt and a set of feet. Now I must admit that I did laugh and quickly call Nathan into the dining room to witness our son's climbing abilities... HA! I must also admit that I did encourage Logan to try it again for the sole purpose of taking his picture... yeah I'm THAT mom... what can I say? Here is Logan demonstrating his abilities!

He was quite proud of himself as you can see from his picture above. He is such a silly Monkey Boy!
I will also admit that after he went down for his afternoon nap we quickly put a child safety lock on that door (it was the only one we didn't do originally.) And of course 5 minutes after Logan woke up from his nap he went right up to this cupboard and found he couldn't get in... So started the tantrum to end all tantrums for the day! Oh. My. GOODNESS! Oh well... :-)

Trick or Treat!

Since Logan is still a little too young to appreciate all things trick or treating and because we don't get many trick or treaters at our house we opted to head over the my Aunt Me and Uncle Franks house! Fun fun! My parents also came in to hang out so it was a great time. Logan enjoyed the people coming over, but we mostly interested in his Grandpa Hunt. Seems to be his thing lately... see Grandma - RUN to Grandpa... LOVE Grandpa! haha It is quite cute actually!

Our little monkey on his way to his first (and only) trick or treat house!

He got all excited when I ran in front to take a picture that he threw his bucket and started running.

With Aunt Me and Grandpa getting some candy. YUM YUM!
