Getting the Tree Up

I am a bit behind - so don't mind me while I play catch up.

For some reason I really don't like decorating for holidays. Especially decorating the Christmas tree. I have no idea why as I'm sure I remember enjoying it growing up, but the past handful of years... not so much. But let me tell you what - having a child who GETS IT - makes a world of difference! Logan was so thrilled about "Christmas Time" this year that it made the whole experience even better!

Logan and I went out together on a rainy Saturday morning to buy our little tree from a small tree lot that had found its home in a large parking lot. It was a good time. He was so excited about the whole process. After the tree dried out during nap time we were able to decorate it that evening. It was a pretty good time! I even put some of the knick knack decorations out! GO ME! Here are some pictures from the evening:

Logan loves to hold his sister... it is the cutest thing! He is very sweet with her and makes multiple stops in the infant room at daycare to give her kisses throughout the day. :)

Logan was in charge of lights!

Abby insisted on helping so we gave her a shot - she was not very effective!

Our little finished tree...

I'm already sort of looking forward to doing this again next year. However, first I have to take everything down... anoter task I dread! :)
