Logan's Scrapbook... FINALLY started!

YAY for scrapbooking! Nathan told me he would take over Logan duty all weekend (even though he tends to do a lot of it all the time anyway) and let me have at it! I scrapbooked all day Saturday and most of Sunday. I managed to get 21 pages done which made me very happy! I took over the dining room and made a HUGE mess. But in the end I think the vast majority of these pages turned out great. There might be a couple I may redo, but we'll see.
The first page for his album. I always try to make the first pages of albums pretty simple. So this just has my favorite picture from when he was first born and the vital information.

His birth annoucement page. I love this page. It just seems so sweet and simple. I literally sat and looked at it for like 15 minutes last night. I love it!

We did his footprints when he was a few weeks old. I didn't want to add any journalling but I found a little teal teddy bear that I had and it added just a nice little touch.

A simple page with four photos of Logan in various stages of sleep. I like how it turned out though. This was when he was first home.

This is a really simple page, but I had really been looking forward to doing it since Logan was first born. The background paper is one of those big balloons you can get at the giftshop and such. My dad bought it for Logan while we were still in the hospital. I just used it to cover a 12x12 piece of paper I'll likely never use and threw on a little picture and called it good!

I made three little balloons with string coming down to serve as the title/journal area of the page.

I hand stitched this title for the page. I am a fast with a needle and thread, but this took forever as I was too busy watching Logan screech like a dying cat all day Saturday! :-) I like how it turned out though.

Our first family photo about an hour after Logan was born and they snuck me down to see him. You can't really see him, but it is a special photo for us.

Our first times holding Logan! I like this page. I used pattern paper in the back and then three solid colors and tore them and layered. Then I took some green embossing thread and glued it along the torn edges.

Just a simple page with words about Logan with inked edges on the right. I asked Nathan for words when I was making the page so that was fun. That is one of my favorite pictures of Logan from his time in the NICU. We didn't know how long he was at first so Nathan and my mom took that picture so I could get an idea of how long he was since I wasn't able to go see him until the day after he was born.

I had kept the information card from his bassinet in the NICU. I was going to use his hospital bracelet, but we decided to use that his his baby book and this in his scrapbook.

This page had to be colorful since it was his GOING HOME page! YAY! I used a pice of ribbon along the bottom. I couldn't decide which pictures to use so I was happy to be able to include them all on this page. Sometimes it works... sometimes it doesn't.

This page was fun to make. The ducky stickers were rubber were perfect and I used foam letter stickers - called Thickers (always makes me laugh to say thickers) and gel rain drop stickers for splash effects. You can see along the left side of the photos a bunch of bubble stickers. I thoght they were quite cute!

I love these two photos. They were from Logan's first day or two home. The first is Nathan doing some kanagroo care - something we both LOVED doing. And the second Logan and I taking a nap together. I miss sleeping with him. Nathan fell asleep on the couch with him this weekend and we both were remembering what a nice feeling it was to have him all snuggled and warm with us.

Photos with my parents. My mom was the first one to hold Logan outside of the nurses, Nathan and I. (That was before we had to stop holding him so much in the NICU before we left.) My dad took a little while longer to be comfortable holding him since he was so tiny. He said he was going to wait until he was 8 pounds, but then soon realized that was going to take a while and decided to hold him!

A rather simple page for Nathan's parents. It is the first time they were able to hold Logan and I wanted the page to be simple and sweet. I also wanted to make sure I captured the memory of it being their first grandchild.

Pictures with Uncle Kyle and Aunt Sarah. I have pictures yet to be printed with his cousins so those will be fun pages to do!

Pictures with all of his Aunts and Uncles from the Wolfe side. Minus Aunt Deb because I realized I didn't have any pictures printed off of her with Logan. So she has a designated area for the picture once I get one printed.

These two pages were from a great afternoon we spent at the park by our house. It was on Labor Day and a week before Logan was even supposed to be born! I loved this day and the pictures we took so it got a two page spread!

More park fun. I made the pages mirror images of each other when it comes to the photos and opposite with the background. I used a lot of rub-ons and the "A day at the Park" are glittery blue stickers.

Logan was so teeny tiny in these pictures! It was his first road trip out to my parents house. It just happened to coincide with the first U of Michigan football game so he and daddy dressed as twins and I used those colors for the page layout!

This is Logan's first "school picture." He was 2 months old. This was just a quick page I threw together and I think I may redo it as it isn't my favorite.

Happy Halloween! These are photos from the Adventure Center Halloween party. Logan was a little giraffe. I didn't want a normal Halloween orange and black page so I went with yellow and brown like a giraffe and the orange paper has zoo animals including giraffes.

Our trip to a local orchard. I've had these embellishments that I think my mom bought me years ago. FINALLY used them! This was a very fun day, but Logan basically slept through the entire day as you can see in the pictures.

The mess I left over! EEK! I've picked up most of it, but haven't taken my stuff back downstairs. OOPS! Maybe on some level I'm hoping to do more!

More mess!
