Anyway - Logan being gone gave me the opportunity to get his Valentines done with no little people under foot! Nathan even helped which was a great thing! I go this idea from Joanne at Ready, Set, Craft! here and it seemed pretty easy so I gave it a go. And it actually WAS easy! Go figure!
I printed out the recipe, directions and a "don't let your kid eat this or play unsupervised" note and attached those together with some embroidery floss and stuck that in the little heart full of play doh! (FYI - I did try to eat it - it is NASTY! VERY salty and just all around gross. Even if a kid does take a bite - I doubt they will take a second!)
I think they turned out cute and are a bit more fun than cards. Although - as the class size grows we'll see how much my enthusiasm for hand made valentines continues. :-)

Got everything in the pan ready to stir and I mean stir! My back has been bothering me so I made Nathan do it after a couple minutes!
I decided to make pink play doh!
All laid out and ready to go! I'm going to run them in to daycare tomorrow.
I think they are adorable! I hope the kids like them!By the way - FINALLY done with the big project at work. Put 55 hours in on just that project alone in the past 7 days and am HAPPY to see this portion of it end! YIPEE! And with the weather my boss told me I could work from home tomorrow. Hmmmm... Logan at my parents, Nathan leaving at 7:30 for work and no NEED to be at my office at 8:30. I think I may sleep in as late as physically possible before work "starts." Although I think I will head in to work at some point.
So - Happy Early Valentine's Day everyone!! What are your plans?
