The kids lately

Life is good these days. We have been getting things done... saving money... making smart choices... enjoying the kids... enjoying our marriage... things are good! I know - kind of mushy - but true. We are happy these days.

Abby is becoming a nice little interactive girl. Amazing how much more enjoyable life is when reflux/colic phase has passed. :) This photo was taken this morning before school - love the color and leg warmers. Make me happy.

Over the weekend she started getting a little goopy in her eye. She has had a cold and Logan was notorious for getting "colds in his eyes" (whatever that means). I didn't think much of it when I took her to daycare on Tuesday, but they said she needed to go to the doctor. The doctor diagnosed her with "pink eye" - she even used finger quotes. nice! So my parents bailed us out as we both NEEDED to be at work. (My boss was in the office for 5 hours and I haven't seen him since March 5th and wouldn't again until next Monday. So I needed to touch base with him.)

Here is a picture of baby girl waiting for the doctor. She weighed in 18 pounds 9.5 ounces. She has her well baby visit next Wednesday for her official 6 month stats.

On Sunday night during bath time Nathan gave her a mohawk. It dried that way and stayed stuck that way til her next bath on Tuesday night. ha! Loved it!
Over the weekend I took a stab at making baby food. So far I've made butternut squash, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, green beans and peas. She has tried all the orange veggies and LOVES them. She is eating breakfast and dinner right now and really seems to want a lunch, but seriously - she is young. Sister LOVES her solids though as proof in the second photo.
I did let her try puffs - she isn't a fan:
Last Saturday Nathan had to work so it was a Momma/kids day. I did some fun projects with Logan. I have no idea why I thought letting him run with feet COVERED in paint on the floor. Yeah - that was kinda a mess. lol Oh well - he loved it!
We also did some pop bottle flowers (yay Pinterest.)
Last but not least we did baking soda/vinegar volcanoes. He loves these and the set up works perfect that there is very minimal mess. Thankfully vinegar is cheap as Logan would go through a whole bottle if I let him. He did this fun activity twice last weekend.
That is the fun we have been having lately. The weather has turned back more spring like from the 80+ degree weather we were having a week ago!
Alright - off to meet Nathan for a lunch date - our new weekly date. :) I likes!
