March's Family Fun Day

February's Family Fun Day was postponed as we had some things come up, but that didn't stop us from getting out in March! The weather was great and technically it would have been ideal to be outside, but I figured that we would have LOTS of opportunities for outside fun. We opted to take the kids to SPLASH UNIVERSE! It was a blast! Check out this swimmer baby... seriously - teal (my current favorite color) bikini. Being a baby - the only time in life that having a pot belly and wearing a bikini is acceptable.

And here is big bad brother all ready for some swim time!
This place is great! There is a big water playground with slides, climbing things and a huge bucket that tries to drown you in water. When the morning first started Logan wanted us to go through it with him, but the afternoon he was flying through everything himself and asking to go by himself. It was cute. He is an independent and capable little guy and it took a lot of will power not to follow him anyway. He did great. He would hear the bell dinging and sprint to cover and try to avoid the onslaught of water!
There is also a baby pool that is like bath water. Abby liked sitting in it and repeated standing and then plopping back in the water. It was too funny. She took a nap in my arms in the morning and in the evening. Then during Logan's nap time we ran to my parents' house who live close by and the kids took naps there... frankly all 4 of us took naps! It was lovely!
Here is Abby in the morning... It is warm in there so I just left her in a diaper and someone thought she was a boy... oh well. I swear she really does look like a girl. What is funny is not 15 minutes before then I was saying to Nathan how much she looked like a girl with her curly eye lashes, pink cheeks and perfect little lips. :) Sweet baby girl.
It was a great day! Logan is still talking about all the swimming he did "all by myself!" Can't wait to make a trip there this winter when the weather is FOR SURE not enjoyable.
