Baby Logan - Week 29 (new ultrasound and belly pics)

Things here are good. We had a meeting with the doctor Tuesday who prescribes the insulin. I started that last night and for the first time since all this started I had good fasting numbers in the morning! YAY! Giving myself the shot wasn't so bad - it actually hurt less than poking my finger to test my sugar. Hopefully this will continue to put me back in the "normal" pregnant woman category. Generally though I feel MUCH better about the whole situation

Logan certainly doesn't move as much on the ultrasound like he did when he was smaller - space is getting limited in there! The update below says the baby weighs about 2 1/2 pounds. According to the gal doing the ultrasound Logan weighs about 3 1/2 pounds. The doctor said that is within the normal range so he isn't getting too big at this point. At the bottom is a face picture and a foot picture they gave me yesterday. It can be hard to figure out the face so I made one with arrows and such to pick it out! Once you know where it is - it is pretty easy. The ultrasound gal said he had "chubby cheeks" UH-OH!! Looks like this IS a Wolfe baby.... :-) haha!

I discovered why the bottom of my belly hurts so bad. At the ultrasound Logan was head down (Which is good) with his feet and hands above his head! Booty in the air! Silly little boy. No wonder everything hurt! I moved for a bit and I was MUCH more comfortable, but I'm pretty sure he is back in a similar position. Oh well - what can ya do, right? :-) OH - and there is a belly picture at the bottom

We still have lots to do at the house and are trying to get things done as quick as we can so we are ready for Logan. Seems like it is a never ending list though - that is for sure!

Here is Logan's update:

Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is growing bigger to make room for his developing brain. To meet his increasing nutritional demands, you'll need plenty of protein, vitamins C, folic acid, and iron. And because his bones are soaking up lots of calcium, be sure to drink your milk (or find another good source of calcium, such as cheese, yogurt, or enriched orange juice). This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in your baby's hardening skeleton each day.
