THIRD TRIMESTER!!!! Baby Logan - Week 28!!

Another week has come and gone. Lots went on. I must have been silly thinking that so far this pregnancy hasn't been so bad... no morning sickness... wasn't too terribly tired... etc etc. Well that didn't last long. I got my gestational diabetes diagnosis, started the diet which is going well in most regards, but my numbers first thing in the morning are a touch high. But after meals things are good. I meet with the nutritionist again tomorrow and we'll see what she says and if I have to start insulin or what the deal is.

This past weekend we had a pretty taxing/not relaxing trip up north and I think it took a bigger toll on me than I realized. Early Monday morning we took a trip to the ER and since I'm so far along they sent me up to labor and delivery. Turns out I have a bladder infection/UTI that was causing the contraction like pains. I am feeling better now since the antibiotics started. I have my scheduled OB appt on Thursday so we'll see what the doctor has to say. Starting now I'll see the doctor every two weeks! CRAZY! I feel like that is going to make the rest of this pregnancy go even faster! So that is what is going on now.

I will say that it has been really fun watching my belly move. Logan will push on it and you can see it from the outside. A little alien is inside me!

Here is Logan's update:

By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of his head to his heels. He can blink his eyes, which now sport lashes. With his eyesight developing, he may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. He's also developing billions of neurons in his brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.
