Good Morning!
Hope all is well with everyone. Things here are going really well. I swear I feel SO much better this month than I did last month. It is amazing how Logan being in a nicer position makes life much easier. I haven't had any kicks to the ribs or anything like that yet. But as my brother said... the key word is YET!
Logan schedule of sorts seems to have changed a bit this week. He is more active during the day than he has been previously. I was so used to him moving more in the evenings after work when I would lay down and such. It was a mental adjustment for me. But when we were praying last night before bed Logan gave his daddy a good hard kick to let us know he was participating! I love when that happens.
Only 9 weeks to go... seems crazy to me. I think it is going to really be more like 7 weeks and then he will be here. I think he'll be a mid-ish August baby. We shall see though!
The diabetes thing is going well. Still playing with the insulin doses to get me on the right one, but the doctor and I think we are really close. My fasting numbers are just 1 or 2 points high. SOOOO close! The diet is going just fine and dandy. It does get a bit annoying and repetitive at times, but really not a big deal.
I can't wait for our showers to start so we can start getting Logan's room together. I'm anxious to do that! I am still trying to convince myself that he is actually going to come out... I keep thinking - oh I'm just pregnant - that is different than actually having a baby. I suppose I should really work on changing that mindset and quick because the coming weeks are going to go by FAST!
That is about it from the land outside my belly... here is Logan's update:
This week, your baby measures over 16 inches long. He weighs about 3.3 pounds (try carrying four navel oranges) (or probably more than that since he weighed about that at 29 weeks!) and is heading into a growth spurt. He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy.
