So today was Logan's last day in the infant room (room 5) at daycare. On Tuesday he will report to room 7! The young toddler room. To say I'm nervous about all this would be an understatement. I'm comfortable with Logan's teachers in the infant room. We know them. We love them. They know Logan. They love Logan. That's not to say the next group of teachers won't adore him just so much, but really I just can't fathom that. I am really going to miss his teachers. They are a wonderful group of caring, intelligent, wonderful, loving women.
Today was pajama day was great fun. I of course dropped him off in pajamas as well! HA!
I just pray that next week goes smoothly. I know it will be easier for Logan than me. He has been visiting room 7 for months now and enjoys his time over there. His teachers gave us a graduation book with photos from his past year there. It was so sweet. I managed not to cry while I looked through it, but wow - he was SO tiny! His primary teacher Bobbie has kept a journal that she and I were able to write back and forth to each other. She wrote her final entry today. This is what it said:
"What can I say about Logan!? I remember his first days when he was so small and adorable. I loved him from the start. I have loved watching him grow and learn this year. I will miss his great cute face. I will miss everything about him, he is such a sweet baby. I don't want him to move, I wish he could stay with us always. When he first started he made me want to have another baby. I loved having him fall asleep in my arms. I love him very much. I will also miss seeing and joking with you. You are a great mom and a wonderful parent to have in the room. You better come hang out with us! Love, Bobbie"
Bobbie, Melissa, Allison and Tammy were so wonderful. I wrote them each a letter and a framed picture of each of them with Logan (the ones below). I think they all loved them!
Logan with his primary teacher, Bobbie! She is so wonderful! She was also the primary teacher for my boss's son when he was an infant... now he is almost 16! She knows her stuff! (The average length of employment at the daycare is something like 15 years!)
Melissa and Logan -Melissa was super fun and sarcastic. We had a great time! Her eldest daughter Brianna (13 years old) had a baby crush on Logan - she just adored taking care of him and he really loved both of them too.
Logan and Allison - Logan is going after Allison's hearing aides! Bad baby! HA! She can get him to laugh all the time by saying, "You Beep Beep!" Not sure what is so funny about that, but he cracks up all the time!
And this is Tammy - she is such a sweet gal and Logan loves when she chases him around the room. Most of the time when I go to pick him up he is the last baby there playing with Tammy. They have a lot of fun!
