18-ish month well baby!

Logan had his well-baby appt this morning. He weighed in at 26 pounds 13 ounces (55th%) and 33.5 inches (85th%). Never have I thought of my son as being tall - I guess i was wrong. He does have short little legs so it is a big decieving. The nurse practictioner we saw was more than thrilled with all his skills and abilities. I asked her if we could be doing anything more to help him developmentally and she said, "why mess with perfection?" HA! She is so right. My parenting is PERFECT. not. Good gosh! But hey - my boy is! (as every mom says...)
I did have to laugh though - there are so many things that I worry/obsess about with Logan. The two BIGGIES...

1. His weight. I'm scared for him to be too heavy and have weight issues in the future. Or him being to skinny. The TRUTH: he is perfect and I should stop obsessing.

2. His words. Nathan and I started a list this weekend of all his words/phrases and we came up with 47 total. Yeah it makes a huge difference when you put stuff on paper. The TRUTH: at the appointment they asked if he had more than 8 words. YUP! Clearly not something I need to worry about.

Yeah.... momma needs to chill.

At almost 19 months Logan is still the happiest boy around and while he has some tantrums, lately they have been few and far between. He loves his daddy and will tackle him at every opportunity. He will give hugs and kisses to anyone who asks and will light up the room as soon as he enters. He is such a great boy and we are so beyond lucky to have him.
