A hot summer day!

This weekend we were supposed to head down to Lima, OH to take our nephew's 1 year pictures, but the trip was cancelled. We missed seeing some of our favorite people, but a surprise weekend home was a GREAT treat! We have very few of them this summer.

Logan started our day off great by sleeping in until about 8:20! YIPEE!! It was going to be HOT today so I went out early and mowed the front and back yards so Nathan wouldn't have to worry about it later in the day. Then we played in the front for a bit. It was around 10:30 and already pretty warm out so we thought having popsicle on the deck would be a great idea!

Logan loved it! His two bottom canine teeth have popped through so this probably felt REALLY great on them.

We did most of our playing in the morning since it was going to be so warm. However, after dinner Logan REALLY wanted to go back outside. Thankfully there was a decent breeze so it wasn't entirely miserable. Logan was really enjoying digging in the soon to be taken down flower boxes.

Logan also really enjoys doing the "splits" - he doesn't quite get there, but he gets pretty low and then "stuck! stuck!" ha! Cracks us up - he either falls over or waits for us to come help him stand back up.

Logan really and I mean really enjoys climbing - he has for some time. He was showing off his skills on this fun climbing yard toy we are borrowing from a friend for the summer.

Nathan and I have a SUPER romantic night planned for again tonight. A repeat of last night. SHAMPOOING OUR CARPETS. You are jealous... I know. I don't blame you. ha!! But the family room looks GREAT! Can't wait to do the dining/living room carpets tonight. Good times!
