Let's start with Mother's Day weekend. I did not get any pictures of Logan and myself... much to my dismay, but Nathan says he owes me a mommy/Logan photo shoot. (uhm... YES!?!)
Saturday morning we celebrated our niece, Piper's third birthday! (Can't even believe that this means Logan turns 3 in LESS THAN three months! Not even possible!) Below is a picture of my mom with Logan and Piper.
That evening we headed out to Nathan's parents house and Logan had some play time with his other cousins. For right now he seems more keen on "Baby Rhyin" as he calls her - who is about two years younger than he is with Liam - who is only 7 months younger. Don't quite get that one, but oh well. Rhyin and Logan played trucks for a bit and then happily posed for a picture. Such dolls!
On Sunday we went to church and then out to my parents' house for nap time and then off to dinner. Logan was kind of out of sorts and by the time we were at dinner he felt really warm. I ran off to the grocery store and bought a thermometer and tylenol and big shocker - he had a fever of 102. So we quickly made our exit. Logan wasn't feeling well and it was obvious. We were watching Toy Story 3 - or "Buzz and Woody" as Logan calls it - and Nathan asked if Logan would rather watch the movie or go to bed. Logan responded with, "I want to take a nap." So off to bed he went. We had to give him tylenol through the night as he continued to have a fever. He slept for almost 14 hours! Woke up fine and dandy and had a great day with Grandma!
So it was a pretty uneventful Mother's Day as far as the three of us are concerned - the typical running around we always do, but I'd be lying if I said he didn't feel a bit "non-celebratory" when your child is sick and your hubby kind of forgets to buy you a present. ha! That is okay - Nathan recovered well since my 30th birthday was a week later! More on THAT later....
