BASEBALL CAMP!!

Logan had a pretty fantastic weekend!!! He went out to spend the weekend with my parent's house with his cousins for "Grandma and Grandpa Baseball Camp!" Logan headed out there Thursday night and was so dang excited! Grandma and Grandpa had hats, shirts and a big goody bag full of things for weekend fun. It was awesome! They really went all out.

The next morning Logan got all suited up and was ready to go. :) How adorable is he?!

Logan was so anxious for his cousins to arrive and was a forlorn little man watching for their car to arrive.

Here are all the shirts and hats waiting for the campers to arrive. (yes my pictures are a bit out of order.)

Saturday morning breakfast of pancakes and sausage courtesy of Grandpa. YUM!!

The kids are getting all ready for their day out. Grandma even had eye black stickers for the kids to put on! How awesome?

Team picture! :) Adorable group!

After some batting instruction from Grandpa Logan stepped up to the plate. According to him he, "hit da ball super far and ran to second second second base." Our little lefty.

The cheering section for Grandma running running the bases.

After baseball practice the kids all put on their bathing suits and ran around the little splash pad at the other end of the park in our hometown.

After some water play, Grandpa grilled up some hotdogs at the park for lunch and then some more water play. After going home for nap time everyone headed to the movie theater to see Cars 2! This was Logan's first movie experience - and while I was a little bummed we didn't take him to his first one - he had a great time! Logan ended up leaving with about 10 minutes to go as he was kind of over the whole experience. Can't wait to take him to a movie ourselves!

The next morning the kids enjoyed a cinnamon roll breakfast. YUM!

After breakfast they headed to church and were quite a hit on the cuteness factor.

After nap time the group headed to a local park for some play time.

One of the planned activities was rubber duck races in the river! Sadly the rubber ducks were no good and didn't make it. They switched from the ducks to pieces of wood... wood floats right?

Waiting for the wood - I'm not sure what happened, but none of the wood made it out of the river. Regardless the kids loved it!

The kids had a great great great time. We were so anxious to pick the kids up on the 4th and they told us all about the wonderful time they had. And here we are 3 days later and Logan is STILL talking about it. On Tuesday night he wanted to call my mom and said, "Grandma, I want baseball camp morrow peese." ha! So Grandma brought some of the stuff and then of course - he never mentioned it the entire time he was with my mom yesterday. HA! Silly Logan... The day before camp I bought Logan a new pair of tennis shoes and the first time he wore them was at my parents... so going forward he refers to them as his "baseball camp shoes."

I'm pretty sure that the summer Grandparent/Grandkids weekend will be an annual event and we love that the kids will have these great memories to share with their Grandparents. I know I treasure the memories I have with my grandparents and I pray the same for my children.
