- June 2nd (okay before my last post, but never mentioned it.) Nathan and my's 5th wedding anniversary! We went out to dinner at Grizzly Peak in downtown Ann Arbor... YUM! Serious YUM! Then we went to see the movie, "Bridesmaids" - wow was that pee your pants funny (especially if you are pregnant!) It was a really fun night and we enjoyed the heck out of it!
- June 11-12 - probably the most productive weekend Nathan and I have had in months and months. It helps when you aren't running all over the place for other commitments. We were able to enjoy the weekend getting projects done around the house and enjoyed each other's company doing it. My dad came over Saturday morning to help out with a few things - that always spurs more productivity I think! :) Logan was a great help too - he was loving using Grandma's big "loppers" (as we call them) to cut down three bushes on the side of our house.
- June 14th - maternity clothes shopping! Okay this was pretty epic for me. I was wearing the clothes from my pregnancy with Logan and I didn't buy a lot then so they were very well loved. I went with my mom and sister-in-law, Sarah (who is also pregnant and due 3 1/2 weeks before me!) Now - under normal circumstances shopping for me is an act of self inflicted torture and I DO NOT ENJOY IT. I'm a total debbie downer on myself when faced with the bad lighting and mirrors of dressing rooms. This trip however was a breath of fresh air. I enjoyed the heck out of it!! Lots of laughing - lots of gripping (in a funny way) - lots of "you really want me to try this on?!. it was a great time! My parents bought our clothes as part of Sarah and my's birthday presents - THANK YOU MOM AND DAD!
- June 17th - we picked a name for our little girl - Abigail Rae! We'll call her Abby and we are thrilled thinking it will be the perfect little name for her. And I like the sound of "Logan and Abby" together. So that is a great thing to have checked off our list!
- June 18th - a baby shower for my cousin Kendra who is due the end of July. It was a great day! It was a couples shower so a total family affair. I think it felt more like a get together/party than a shower - which was kind of nice! Although - Kendra is also having a girl and let's be honest - I just wanted to steal all the presents she got. :)
- June 19th - FATHER'S DAY! I sang in church that morning while Nathan and Logan ran down to visit one set of his grandparents who live in assisted living. They were really happy to see him and Nathan was happy he got a visit in. Then we had lunch/nap time at Nathan's parents house. That afternoon we headed to my parents house (really like the fact that our parents only live about 20 minutes apart!) My brother's family was already there and Logan - as always - had a TOTAL blast with his cousins - Thomas (just about 5) and Piper (just turned 3.) The laughter that comes out of these kids is contagious and I love watching them love on each other - especially Logan and Piper - they are two peas in a pod! (I love that we are having babies at the same time again - will be fun to see another relationship develop with this boy/girl set!) We had a great time and enjoyed the country air and the freedom to run around with reckless abandon. A great time. We didn't take any pictures as Nathan forgot the camera and I opted not to drive home after church and get it. But it was a wonderful day that I'm sure we won't soon forget!
- June 20th - I finished the process of sorting, washing, organizing and putting away all the hand me down clothes we have received for Abby. Her closet is a mountain of pink and I'm going to try my hardest to only buy other colors between now and when she is born! I think it is kind of hard to find anything other than pink for infant girls. But then again - I haven't really looked either.

Abby's closet before - basically a catch all for clutter and crap we don't know what to do with:

So that has you all caught up. We have Nathan's sister, Christina and her family (Oliver - the hubby and Liam the 2 year old) coming up Friday evening to spend the night. Tina and I are making Liam and Logan super hero capes! How much fun will that be?!? We are pretty excited. They are not going to be like "superman" or "batman" they are going to be their own super heroes. Logan keeps asking when he is going to get his "super hewoo cake" and is quite excited about it. Then we have our niece's first birthday party on Saturday and then hopefully church and a quiet day on Sunday. Sounds pretty perfect to me!
Glad we are more current on the blog now! woohoo!!!
